Since 2020, the Index has celebrated standout collaborations between industry and patients/patient organisations across the world, setting a benchmark for excellence and highlighting work that truly delivers for patients.
The PPI is a global initiative to enable patient groups and industry to showcase and evaluate the impact and value of their patient partnerships.
Its aim is to celebrate as many partnerships that meet the mark as possible, while sharing best practice and raising the bar across the industry.
Now in its sixth year, the PPI evaluates and commends patient-industry initiatives across communications, advocacy, government affairs, medical affairs, marketing, R&D, clinical trials and market access.
This year, the PPI will choose a winning entry, followed by GOLD, SILVER and BRONZE and FINALIST standards used in past years.

The concept of patient centricity has become mainstream in industry, but the Index looks beyond ‘centricity’. It delves into partnerships because patient insights and voice in everything from disease awareness to HTA is becoming increasingly business-critical.

The Index has been recognised with industry awards, and is formally endorsed by the sector’s European and UK trade associations – EFPIA and the ABPI.
